Ever since I joined Bruin Belles during my freshman year, I have found a family away from home. I grew up in the Middle East, in this tiny country called Kuwait. Whilst I was fortunate to have had a cosmopolitan upbringing, I also observed first hand the discrimination of women on several levels: be it in politics, business, or society. So, when I come to UCLA and learned about Belles, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to join an organization that promoted and reinforced the value of women, constantly inspiring and motivating them. But more importantly, Belles created an environment that I personally wanted to underlie my college experience with.

As President, my goal is to give the organization what it has given to me over the past 3 years. Having served as the Women’s Leadership Director last year, I wish to take my responsibilities a step further to ensure that this is an organization where Belles can fully express themselves, be empowered by every single woman within the organization and inspire those around them!
