Greek Cuisine
Greek SaladWhat better dish for our first lunch in Athens? We stopped by an adorable family owned restaurant, we could hear the woman chopping the vegetables in the kitchen. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced. | Creme BruleWe enjoyed this delicious creme brûlée at a rooftop restaurant that overlooks the Acropolis. Although Greece is known for its traditional dishes, I am continually impressed by the variety of cuisines available here! | CheesecakeFresh Greek dairy and delicious fruit made this already delectable dessert even more amazing. |

Even potato chips are cooler in Greece | LemonadaOne of the first beverages we enjoyed in Athens. There's nothing quite as refreshing on a hot Greek day as this crisp and light sparkling lemonade.

Greek coffee. Heavy on the caffeine | Laurel loves Savvas! | Gyro at SavvasDescribes by gyro aficionado, Professor Phillips, as the best gyros in Greece, Savvas did not disappoint. Be sure to stop by Savvas when in Athens. Gyros are a great option for vegetarians, they are very inexpensive so simply ask them to substitute meat for extra veggies. |
Gas station pastriesYes, Greece is the best place ever. You can get gourmet pastries at gas stations! | Slightly more gourmet than a slurpie
Eggplant Imam in Delphi | Souvlaki | Couscous in Delphi |
Loukoumades!!! | Perfect breakfast in RhodesWe enjoyed fresh juice, loukoumades, and spinach pie. Do not miss out on fresh, warm, honey drizzled loukoumades. They are completely mandatory for all Greek travelers ;) | Spinach pieSpinach pie and tiropita (cheese pie) were excellent, common, and inexpensive. You can find these delectable creations at virtually every Greek restaurant and they are generally no more than 3 Euros! |
